Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel had its positive and negative sides. The rooms were nicely appointed with Southwestern decor and charming little kivas, although they tended to get overcrowded at times with inadequate seating. However, having a fire in my room added a cozy touch. The location was superb, being very close to the plaza and Bent Street shopping district, but there were minor issues like the crowded areas for getting ice buckets.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, while charming and beautifully appointed, were not as quiet and functional as I had hoped due to noise from a band in the lobby, lack of working wifi, and unexpected charges. The furnishings seemed outdated and in need of some refurbishment, especially the beds which were not the most comfortable. The service, on the other hand, was wonderful and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The location was great for exploring downtown Taos, with plenty of parking available, but the surroundings didn't quite meet my expectations. While the dining options had potential, the lack of accessibility without a car was a drawback.
My stay at The Historic Taos Inn was a mix of memorable experiences. The hotel's location is ideal for exploring the plaza, Kit Carson road, and Ledoux street on foot, but the room's decorative fireplace was non-functional and took up unnecessary space. Service was friendly overall, highlighted by a kind bartender offering a unique wine-chilling method, but some details seemed exaggerated. The dining experience at Doc Martins during the week was enjoyable despite transportation challenges, typical of similar places. The facilities were sufficient but lacked standout features.
